Who we are

Tygerberg Cricket Club ("TCC", "we", "us") operates tygerbergcc.co.za. We are a non-profit community sports club based in Florida Park, Ravensmead, Cape Town, South Africa.

What information we collect

We collect the following personal information only when you voluntarily provide it:

Fantasy league registration — your name, email address and chosen team name when you register for TCC Fantasy Cricket.
Contact form — your name, email address and message when you submit the contact form.

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics services or advertising networks. We do not collect any information passively.

How we use your information

To manage your fantasy cricket account and send you your one-time login code.
To notify you when fantasy scores are published.
To respond to your contact form enquiry.
To display your team name on the public leaderboard.

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services which may process your data:

Supabase — our database provider, used to store fantasy league registrations and picks. Data is stored on servers in the EU. Supabase Privacy Policy ↗

Your leaderboard name

Your team name is displayed publicly on the Fantasy Cricket leaderboard. Your real name and email address are never shown publicly. You can change your team name or request deletion of your account at any time from within the fantasy league dashboard.

Data retention

Fantasy league data (picks, scores, registrations) is retained for the duration of the active season. Contact form submissions are not stored in our database — they are sent directly to our email and not retained on our servers.

Your rights (POPIA)

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate information.
Request deletion of your information.
Object to the processing of your information.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies for tracking or analytics. We use browser localStorage solely to remember your fantasy cricket login session on your device. This data never leaves your browser except as part of normal API requests to our servers.
